“Krautrock inspired, guttural Mary Chain-esque rock ‘n’ roll” - Drowned In Sound
“We're heading out on tour across the UK this coming April, playing with bands from all over the place, from many different musical worlds!
Our only international (sort of) show of the tour takes us across imaginary lines in the sand to our spiritual home of Wales, Swansea to be exact. Playing at The Bunkhouse alongside doom/stoner bands such as WOVEN MAN and Urfe as well as indie rockers WINDSHAKE and Static Fires. “
-- WOVEN MAN
Slamming and pounding through anything in there way with monolithic riffs that are reminiscent of a band like Crowbar, with anthemic and harmonious vocals that sound like something taken straight from the Bay Area Thrash scene in the 1980s, Woven Man are anchoring this evening of live music with a set that promises not to be forgotten any time too soon
"Two de-tuned guitars met with sow, thundering drum beats. Years of bedroom riffs were given life. The influences of Sabbath and their decedents; Kyuss, Electric Wizard, Mastodon, Red Fang, shook around a rehearsal room in a Swansea industrial estate. Acquiring a bellowing set of lungs and a rumbling bass completed the line up. It sounded like a band. The band that those riffs in the back of the vault were waiting for."
Embarking on their first national tour, Sunnylea are gearing up for the release of debut album "The Zoo", set to come out around the middle of 2019. Excited to be playing with some of the best underground bands in the country across this run, the band have prepared a set list with more twists and turns than a cheap garden hose. Imagine Black Sabbath meets Radiohead but not quite as good as either, and featuring the occasional math-rock riff.
FFO: Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, TTNG
The three-piece begin their rise within Swansea’s music scene and were "a crowd-favourite" for many at the Swansea Fringe Festival. The three of them have performed together over a hundred and fifty times across Britain and into Paris whilst also releasing multiple single’s such as “Collector”, “Early Morning Reveller”, “The Awful One”, “A Bag Full of Wonders” and “Get Around (Don’t Get Up). The latter was released alongside their first music video.
-- Static Fires
Static Fires are an ambitious, punchy alt-rock band from Swansea, formed in late 2014. We released our debut self-titled EP on the 11th of March 2016 and have been going from strength to strength ever since.
As individuals we all have varying music tastes, which we blend together to create the Static Fires sound.
NOTE: Set times won't be posted for this show. All bands performing encourage their respective audiences to give their time to the other bands on the bill, if possible.

BILK return to the Sin City Swansea stage for another slice of rabble rousing indie hi-jinx...
‘Give Up’ is the debut single release from new Essex based working class indie 3 piece Bilk. Having all just turned 18 years of age Bilk write honest songs to inspire the youth of today, their music being a social commentary to the challenges facing young people today. The band spent last year gigging extensively in Essex building a strong grassroots following, leading to their debut play on BBC Introducing at the end of 2017. With influences ranging from the Jam, The Streets and the Arctic Monkeys through to Eminem and Dizzee Rascal, Bilk are a truly young modern indie band with an attitude and message they are determined to reach the masses. Getting ‘bilked' is slang for when a cabbie (singer Sol Abrahams' father is a London black cab driver) has a customer that runs off without paying the fare…

The Allergies Arrive in Swansea!
Since forming in 2012 The Allergies have made it their mission to reshape funky vintage sounds for the modern dancefloor.
Both skilled turntablists in their own right, and known for their 45 only vinyl sets, the duo of DJ Moneyshot & Rackabeat first bonded over their love of classic hip hop and beats, then decided to pool their knowledge and skills into making their own music.
“We like breaks, funky basslines, horns, and dancefloor grooves. We’re inspired by the golden eras of funk, soul, disco and hip hop, and we try and cram that into three and a half minutes”.
Along the way they’ve racked up two ‘Tune of the Month’ awards in Mixmag, topped download charts, and helped headline the BBC 6 Music festival in their native Bristol last year.
In 2015 they were snapped up by Jalapeno Records, and dropped their debut album, As We Do Our Thing, a year later. On release it gained ‘Album of the Day’ status on 6 Music, and became the bestselling hip hop album in the iTunes and Juno charts.
Beth Blade & The Beautiful Disasters, Scarlet Rebels and The Black Tree Vultures.
Tickets are £8 in advance, £10 on the door.
More info TBA.
If you have never heard the band Bullets And Octane before, you will undoubtedly be sold within the first two tracks on new album “Waking Up Dead”.
Pretty much picking up where 2013’s “15” left off, this is one energetic album that blends punk, sleaze and glam rock – you can hear the bands influences throughout, there’s a bit of Hanoi Rocks in there, a hint of Buckcherry, a touch of Dogs D’Amour and even a pinch of Wildhearts.

Rachmaninov’s most popular concerto and Schubert’s final symphony invite the listener to settle back and lose sense of time; to relax, breathe out and let themselves be swept along.
Opening gestures can say a lot. The tolling piano chords in the first bars of Rachmaninov’s second concerto are iconic in their own right, presaging a tempestuous journey and a heady romance. And the horn-call that launches Schubert’s final masterpiece is the perfect gesture for a work that delights in the majesty of nature. Both works are broad and generous in their design, sweeping the listener up in exultant long lines.

SCHUBERT Symphony No. 9 in C major 'Great'

'The Wicked Jackals' (formerly Guns of Anarchy) are a Watford based melodic hard rock band formed in early 2013 by Guitarist/Frontman Ollie Tindall and Drummer James Norkett after a chance encounter outside a local nightclub. Having a shared love of all things awesomely rock they started laying the foundations of future songs to come.
In August of the same year they came across a young Bassist named Lex Gifford, wasting no time, they drove down the highway to hell and snatched him from his peaceful slumber in leafy Biggleswade.
The duo now turned trio continued to fine tune their hard rock inspired sound. With line up complete and a repertoire of songs, the beast was officially unleashed! having opened for New Device, Tequila Mockingbyrd, The Amorettes and Stone Broken to name but a few, they continue on, enlightening audiences to a sound which has all but disappeared from UK stages until now...
Aisha Chaouche spent her childhood growing up in Swansea before moving to Bristol. Signed to Night Time Stories, Chaouche’s debut album ‘Safe’ was released in June 2018 and she brings her "heartbreaking and spine-tingling hymns" (Wonderland Magazine) home for a long overdue show in The Bunkhouse Swansea on 12th April.
After racking up huge amounts of praise from critics and music-lovers, Chaouche will be supported on the night by CITIES and more TBA.

Widely regarded as one of Europe's finest ever soul/blues fuelled voices, JO HARMAN is an international touring and recording artist who remains a genre-defying, independently minded artist of rare credibility. An artist who makes sincere and heartfelt music, The Mirror proclaimed her 'UK's finest female soul blues voice' who, according to Classic Rock Magazine, writes 'lip-biting beautiful songs'.
Jo recently released her second studio album 'People We Album' to much critical acclaim (see accolades at foot of the page) and no little commercial
success. Indeed the 'lead single', 'When We Were Young' (featuring Michael McDonald) achieved BBC Radio 2 play-listing, as well as play listing on other mainstream national stations across Ireland (RTE1) and Europe. The album has also made various 'best of' lists for 2017.
Summer 2018 Jo duetted on 'Reach Out (I'll Be There)' with Motown song-writing legend Lamont Dozier, the lead single from his 'Re-imagination' album which also features Gregory Porter, Graham Nash, Todd Rundgren, Rumer and other notable international names.
A multi award winning/nominated performer, Jo has achieved considerable success at home and abroad, headlining prestigious venues and festivals throughout Europe and beyond, including playing as one of eleven artists to 300k people at Parkpop, in the Hague. Amongst many other highlights, Jo was asked to perform for, and alongside, Joan Baez at Amnesty International's prestigious 'Ambassador of Conscience' awards. Most recently she opened Bluesfest 2018 for Live Nation at the O2 Arena.
Rag 'N Bone recently took to social media to proclaim her 'one of this country's finest talents' and soul super star Michael McDonald advised 'hearing her cover one of my songs was a spiritual experience'.
